This morning we kick off our “Christmas Ham on the Grill” series. All week we are going to bring you recipes for preparing a Christmas ham on the grill. We will also be posting some great side dishes.

Today we are bringing you a video by the grill masters over at BBQ Pit Boys. In this video they grill a traditional Christmas ham using a time tested and simple recipe.

Now that you are done with all that Thanksgiving grilling it is time to clean your grill, especially the grate. I recently heard of a very simple way to clean a grill grate. I like to keep things simple.

This is the method:

1. Get a tub or basin large enough to hold your grill grate
2. Brew a large pot of coffee
3. Pour the coffee into the basin, you need enough to cover the grill grate
4. Go do something productive for an hour or so
5. Scrub anything still clinging to the grill grate off
6. Rinse the grill grate in warm water.

You can also use coffee to cut trough the grease and crud on utensils and the rest of the grill.
