Honey Brined Smoked Christmas Turkey

Day 2 of out Christmas Turkey on the Grill series. Have you ever smoked a turkey on a grill? Whether you answered ‘yes’ or ‘no’, the recipe from grill master Alton Brown is one you will want to impress your Christmas guests with.

For this delicious recipe, Alton Brown says you will only spend about 15 minutes on prep and around 4 hours grilling/smoking the turkey. The ingredients are simple and straight forward, which is one thing that I like to see in a recipe that we might be using during the otherwise hectic holidays.

Honey Brined Smoked Turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon hot water
  • 1 pound kosher salt
  • 2 quarts vegetable broth
  • 1 pound honey
  • 1 (7-pound) bag of ice
